Program Details: 🌿 Petrykivka Painting – Intermediate Level (10 Lessons)
held once a week on Wednesdays, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM ( 90 min) at 44 Gaukel St, Kitchener.
The schedule can be adjusted based on group preferences.

1️⃣ Lesson 1: Advanced Brushstroke Combinations
Layering brushstrokes for texture and depth
Exploring multi-stroke floral petals and leaves
Practice with more intricate shapes
2️⃣ Lesson 2: Color Theory in Petrykivka
Understanding traditional color palettes
Experimenting with contrast, harmony, and mood
Creating color studies
3️⃣ Lesson 3: Stylized Birds, animals – Level Up
Learn complex bird, animals shapes and feather patterns
Explore posture, motion, and decorative tails
4️⃣ Lesson 4: Compositional Flow & Rhythm
Study classic layouts and visual pathways
Practice sketching compositions before painting
5️⃣ Lesson 5: Real vs. Stylized Forms
Compare real flora with stylized Petrykivka elements
Practice blending observation with folk expression
6️⃣ Lesson 6: Motifs of Ukrainian Symbolism
Introduce advanced symbolic elements: tree of life, sun, spiritual motifs
Incorporate these into practice designs
7️⃣ Lesson 7: Mastering the Cat’s Brush
Refine pressure control, detailing, and brush tip use
Paint fine vines, spirals, and soft feathering, using two colours in one brushstroks
8️⃣ Lesson 8: Custom Design Project – Planning
Begin sketching an original piece
Choose subject, composition layout, and palette
9️⃣ Lesson 9: Custom Design Project – Painting
Paint under guidance with emphasis on detail and personal style

Add highlights, outlines, and balance corrections
